Message on the Capitol Riot The Union City School District unequivocally condemns the violence that erupted at our nation’s Capitol on Wednesday. The peaceful transfer of power is one of the hallmarks of our democratic republic, and any attempt to disrupt or overturn it is an affront to the very fabric of our nation. The district strictly enforces a zero-tolerance anti-discrimination policy in the workplace. Hate-based bias towards an individual’s race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or other intrinsic trait is absolutely unacceptable.
