MRS. GOMEZ’S THIRD GRADE STEM CHALLENGE

The City of Union City needed the students in Mrs. Gomez’s Third Grade to help increase tourism and build community activities. The students’ solution was to create an Aquatic Adventureland. They each designed the ultimate waterpark. First, the students researched all they could learn about water parks and playgrounds. The class read several books and took walking field trips to local Union City parks to observe how the parks have a theme and honor a person or group of people. Then, they planned and designed their park. Their water parks had a theme and honored someone. They included water rides, advertising strategies, menus for the food stands, parking lots, handicap accessibility, baby pools, wave pools, lazy rivers, billboards, etc. They built a model of their parks and presented them to the class. AMAZING WORK 308!!!!
