Pumpkin Characters in Room 208!

Mrs. Johmann's First Grade Class- Room 208.

As a home-school connection project our first graders used a pumpkin to create the main character from a fiction book of their choice. Students wrote about what their character did, why they picked that character and described it. They then presented their projects to the class. Home-school connection projects are not only meant to be fun, but also to encourage speaking and listening skills. Learning to be an audience and ask questions or share compliments and comments are important skills!
